Town & Public Safety Communication System Replacement Project Update

May 7, 2024 - Town staff continue to work with Motorola (the Town’s vendor), and the State of Connecticut to build out the new public safety communication system. Build out of the radio sites (Transfer Station and Ridgewood) is underway at this time. Motorola is on schedule to deliver the new equipment shelters to both sites in early June. Once delivered and installed, the sites will be ready for the radio infrastructure to be installed. Motorola anticipates that the new system will be built out and ready for coverage testing in August.
